Rover Mobile By Spotted Dog Technologies

The use of Rover Mobile started in 2016. Rover Mobile is a emergency responder application used on a variety of devices such as phones or tablets. All of PVFC’s fire personnel have this app on their phones. The app includes real time tracking of responders, as well as fire hydrant locations, landing zones, weight limit bridges, drafting points etc.. In 2016, 5 Samsung Galaxy Tab E tablets were purchased from a grant received by Northfolk Southern. These tablets were placed in the following apparatus, Truck 83, Rescue 83, Rescue-Engine 83, Squad 83, and Special Services 83. These tablets operate Rover Mobile for apparatus tracking and additional information while en-route, as well as applications like ERG (latest edition) En-route Istatus, iformation about webbing and knots and so much more. These tablets are a great asset to operating on the fire ground.
